Never let Jax pop your passive without making him pay for it. When you have grasp go for short trades with E > auto >click backwards. This wont give Jax room to retaliate without using Q. Post 6, you really want to bait Jax to ult and kite him out. Play this lane slow and methodically and you will be fine. You go even with him in the sidelane. Always play passively when your passive is on CD. | |

This matchup can get complicated in all-ins because you want to use W on Garen R then use your R but if Garen uses ignite its not worth it to hold ult and you should ult earlier and if Garen still has Q silence he can stop your combo. | |

You really just play to keep the wave on your side so have lots of room to poke him and run him down with ghost. | |
