![]() Garen | Very Hard | 631 | 47% | -81 | -461 | Easy / Farm This is a favorable farm matchup where you should play to freeze the wave near your tower, as Garen cannot contest your priority at Level 1. Generate advantageous short trades by utilizing your Q-Extend technique: Garen will almost always try to Q you when you Q3, so you can block his Q (Decisive Strike) with a well-timed E or E-W, knowing that your Q cooldown is lower than his. When looking to finish him off with Riven's superior Level 6 spike, make sure to always wait out his W (Courage) before using Windslash (R2).

![]() Zaahen | Even | 512 | 44% | +120 | +443
![]() Renekton | Very Hard | 498 | 50% | -662 | -854 | Very Hard Renekton is one of your toughest matchups; you absolutely MUST win the Level 1 exchange (especially if he starts Q) to get an early lead. When trading, focus on small windows and aim to keep him just ABOVE 50% HP, because if he drops below that threshold, he generates Fury 50% quicker, making his empowered abilities lethal. Look to set up an all-in at Level 6 by waiting for him to blow his E (Slice and Dice) and W (Preditator's Viscera), which have high cooldowns early.
![]() Aatrox | Even | 476 | 53% | -122 | +459 | Even / Skill Start aggressively at Level 1 to establish priority, Riven favored. You have huge CD advantage early, punish if he wastes EQ aggressively, but be aware that Aatrox spikes if he rushes Tabis or gets Dirk, prioritizing farm if that happens. You have to avoid q3 at all cost. Focus on short trades and disengaging before his Conqueror healing ramps up, and aim for an all-in at Level 6 where your combat ultimate gives you the edge.
![]() Darius | Even | 404 | 48% | +27 | +384 | Even / Skill This matchup is Riven-favored if played correctly; prioritize quick trades like to minimize his ability to stack his passive and avoid prolonged engagements. Crucially, NEVER use your Q3 (third Broken Wings) to initiate, as proficient Darius players will always hold Apprehend (E) specifically to cancel your knock-up. Play for Level 6, where your ultimate is far superior, and remember to move inside his Q (Decimate) animation to avoid the outer damage and healing.
![]() Ornn | Easy | 398 | 48% | +382 | +1,814 | Even / Farm Abuse Ornn’s incredibly weak Level 1 before he buys armor, and subsequently utilize freezing to force him to farm passively with Q (Volcanic Rupture). The crucial mechanical tip is that his W (Bellows Breath) only applies the Brittle mark on the last tick, which you can reliably dodge by dashing into him just before that final damage tick lands. Once he purchases sufficient armor, transition into a farm matchup and play to scale.
![]() Malphite | Easy | 396 | 45% | +155 | +1,194 | Hard / Farm This is a hard matchup since Malphite punishes you heavily if you fall behind and rushes Plated Steelcaps early. While you must punish him hard at Levels 1 and 6, the critical rule during trading is that if he presses E (Ground Slam), you must immediately disengage, as the attack speed reduction (cripple) makes your auto-attacks useless. A good trading trick is to engage with E first, as Malphite often uses his E immediately when he sees you dash in, giving you an opening to trade out.
![]() Jax | Even | 386 | 50% | +1 | +198 | Hard / Skill This matchup is currently hard due to Jax being highly tuned, but your strategy remains the same: focus on playing strictly around the high cooldowns of his E (Counter Strike) and R (Grandmaster's Might), as he becomes immensely tanky with both active. When he engages with Q + E, use your E-W doublecast defensively to mitigate his initial burst and stun, then disengage immediately, as he loses trades heavily after his Counter Strike ends.
